How long have you been racing?<\/h4>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

I have been racing since 1995, having moved from marathon and triathlon races into longer adventure style races at that time. I moved into expedition racing fully in 2000, starting with a 3 day race (my longest race previously was 24 hours).<\/span><\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

I have been all over the world and visited nearly every state in the U.S. (only missing Hawaii) racing in expedition races. My favorite destination was South America, where I visited Chile, Ecuador, Peru, and Columbia.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

How are you able to navigate the courses?<\/h4>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

I have had an interest in mapping and navigation for over 30 years. My interest in mapping started in 1989 when I was teaching GIS classes at UCF as a graduate student in Civil and Environmental Engineering. My interest in navigation\r\n started in 1985 while I was in the US Navy. Starting in 1990, I expanded in land navigation through the sport of orienting and then adventure racing. I have since taught hundreds of clinics on various aspects of land and water navigation.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
